Jo Schneider AIA LEED AP is a licensed and LEED certified architect who has been the Eastern Regional Design Principal for Jacobs Global Buildings, Lead Designer for Commercial Architecture for Carter Burgess and a Principal and Associate Vice President with RTKL Associates in the commercial studio. Through these corporate firms, Jo has been the design lead on commercial mixed use projects worldwide including in Japan, Korea, the Netherlands and Dubai. She has also been inspired by working for Frank Gehry Partners and studying with Charles Moore.

USGBC LEED certified for 10 years, she is an experienced sustainable design professional and has designed 3 LEED Gold projects and co-wrote the FAA’s Sustainability Handbook.

Jo Schneider's Bicocca Think Tank and Gehry's Guggenheim Bilbao
Jo Schneider completed her UCLA Masters of Architecture Thesis, The Bicocca Think Tank in June of 1986. Upon graduation Jo left her thesis model with the head of Frank Gehry's office (where she was interning) to send to an exhibit in Milan. In 1991, Gehry's office entered the competition for the Guggenheim in Bilbao Spain. Gehry's office won the competition and the building was completed in 1997.

Jo Schneider creates her personal sculpture and has exhibited sculpture in over 20 museum, gallery shows and national juried competitions. The "Clay and Copper " series earned Jo the prestigious "Emerging Artist" award at NCECA and she was invited as an artist in residence in England.
